GUBMK Constructors for TVA | Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama

Provide project control support for 2014 fall and 2015 spring outages for TVA fossil units. Project Control lead on new construction project. Create, update and maintain the cost system using Prism and Maximo. Create and maintain schedules using Primavera. Provide resource, quantity tracking and cost reports for major projects. Set up and progress of work orders to forecast cost and completion. Identify and troubleshoot potential cost and schedule variances.

IMS Scheduler - January 2014 – July 2014

Strom Engineering sub-contracted to Eastern Shipbuilding Group | Panama City, Florida

Set up, convert and migrate existing projects to Primavera 8.3 Enterprise. Develop standard layouts and report equivalents in P6 for weekly updates. Perform testing, troubleshooting and start up assistance. Create work orders, schedules, load resources, budgets, actual start/finish and progress to provide contract and management reports. Assist in trouble shooting efforts as required and training others in P6.

IMS Scheduler - January 2013 – January 2014

Lead scheduler in support of the integrated master schedule for the DDG project. Develop, maintain, and update all aspects of the IMS schedule including engineering, material, subcontractors, key events, detail and detailed production activities. Weekly update and load, resources, budgets, actual start/finish and progress to provide contract and management and government contract required reports and DCMA 14 point metrics. Assist in trouble shooting efforts work around schedules as required and training others in using and maximizing P6.

Planning & Scheduling  -  March 2010 - December 2012

Planning & Scheduling manager responsible for scheduling, planning, and earned value for new construction and repair /overhaul projects. Provide detail scheduling and planning support to the project management team. Create and maintain detail production schedules, bid schedules for estimating, capital and maintenance projects. Develop and produce earned value metrics for both cost variance and schedule variance to baseline. Develop SOP and SPP for planning and scheduling. Manage a group of planners and schedulers for capacity, resource, integrated master schedules, subcontractors, material, and production schedules. Responsible for developing the production work packages, engineering  schedule and drawing review, build strategy and development and implementation of the budgets, standards, metrics and progress validation.

National Engineering sub-contracting for Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, Inc. | Pascagoula, Mississippi

Support company transition from MS Project to Primavera. Provide assistance in the transition from mainframe and MS Project migrating to a new windows based SAP system and Primavera v6. Import existing MS Project schedules to Primavera and provide data verification, trouble shooting, special projects and training. Develop and maintain IMS schedules at program level to front line detail schedules. Work with management and production to develop and maintain test and work around schedules.

Performing all aspects from contract review, estimating, scheduling, planning, resource leveling and allocation for crafts, materials, and equipment. Hiring, evaluating, training employees for production, planning, and scheduling using Primavera, MS Project, ShipConstructor, Navisworks and custom software. Responsible to integrate the engineering, material, module fabrication, outfitting, assembly and testing of product to completion and delivery. Developing and maintaining earned value on cost and schedule baseline and change order management to support the contract and resource availability.

 

Operations, Welder, Facility Maintenance  -  August 1986 - January 2000

Multiple Positions starting with sailing on vessels as OS and AB, transferred to operations as an operator, welder, and leadman. Perform turn around maintenance, overhaul and repairs to facility, equipment and transfer systems for both liquid and bulk material for the power plant and coal field. Scheduled short term and long term preventive maintenance and emergent repairs for the coal field, cargo transfer docks and storage facility.
